Capitol Hill Block Party: U.S.E.

 

Picking U.S.E., a band who is basically party in a can, to play this early in the day is just daring the audience not to be concerned with pacing themselves. It just feels too awesome to swill some cold beer and pull a hamstring dancing in the warm afternoon while this local Seattle band, whose live performances are far too infrequent, kicks out its vocoder-laced disco euphoria.  Even if going too hard now spells an early end to the night, it seems like it's worth it.
