Redemption Song
I had the chance to talk to Ziggy Marley earlier this week. In prepping for my interview I came across this video of Ziggy performing "Redemption Song," with Lauryn Hill. Remember her? (Oh Lauryn, where have you gone?) She has five children by Ziggy's brother Rohan, to whom she is "spiritually" betrothed (i.e. they're not legally married). I was dying to ask him if he knows what Lauryn is up to, but I totally chickened out. We did, however, talk about his upbringing, his legendary father, and the recent elections. Stay tuned for the interview. I'll post it as soon as it's edited. In the meantime, check out Ziggy and Lauryn, in her former glory.

To the first commenter, I was quoting what I had read in this article: http://www.theinsider.com/news/1115967_SINGER_LAURYN_HILL_FIVE_KIDS_LATER
where the author used quotes around "spiritually married." Personally, I couldn't care less about her marital status.

Clearly a nerve has been struck here with the quotes issue. Honestly, I probably would have put that in quotes too (seeing as how you were actually quoting him). But either way, can someone just explain to me what spiritually married means? Does it imply actual togetherness here and now? Or togetherness in some other realm? "Inquiring minds want to know."

i.e. shut the hell up. what's the point of putting spiritually in quotes? and then the line about them not being legally married as if they're doing something illegal? get off your fucking high horse. people don't have to abide by your standards or anyone else's.
