OMG--Kris Wins American Idol!

Lambert_Allen So was it shocking?  Not so shocking?  Was Adam robbed?  Did Kris deserve the Idol crown?  (If you want to relive the winning moment, visit the American Idol Finale site to watch a video of the show's last five minutes.)

Here at ChordStrike, the debate continues, but I was more intrigued by the unlikely lineup of guest performers, which included the Black Eyed Peas, Queen Latifah, Keith Urban, Cyndi Lauper, KISSRod Stewart, Lionel Richie, Queen, and Steve Martin, as well as former Idol winner Carrie Underwood

Personally, I thought it was pretty awesome when Steve Martin showed up playing the banjo.  What did you think?

My theory is that Adam thew it with his performance of that awful song that Kara wrote for the winner to sing. If I was going to be forced to sing a song like that for the rest of my life, and to be stuck in a horrible contract, I might try to throw the competition too.

who cares?

I will be excited to listen to both Kris and Adam's albums when they come out, so I guess I'm happy either way...but I do feel a little bad Adam didn't win. He's awesome.

Strange result - Lambert was robbed, but I guess Danny & Kris accounted for far more votes than Adam, and most of Danny's troops moved to Kris 2 weeks ago, with his exit. Soft rock wins over the Rocky Horror Show. As for Steve Martin, he did a good impersonation of a banjo player under sedation, dwarfed by the pyro' jobs going on around him. The key of his composition was far too high for either vocalist. Michael coped pretty well, actually I was in awe of how he smoothed it out, but I thought Megan was going to explode.
